Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Transport Supervisor.

In this role, the successful candidate Assists with assigning transport staff resources and ensuring equipment is available according to department policies and procedures. Assists with managing the transport system in the absence of the manager. Performs administrative duties for the department, prepares monthly/daily staff work assignments, and maintains department files. Ensures accuracy of time and attendance system for the department. Ensures staff compliance with annual competencies and maintains records.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Monitors the department s transport system. Ensures job requests are placed properly in the system, staff logs in and out of system correctly, staff uses appropriate system job codes and performs transports correctly.
  • Prepares monthly staff work schedule, ensures accuracy of the time and attendance system for the department, and acts as liaison between Payroll and the department.
  • Prepares and reports employee accidentincident reports to Risk Management and submits forms to appropriate departments.
  • Ensures staff completes annual competencies, PPD's etc. and maintains records.
  • Ensures that established policies and procedures are complied with, maintained and kept current. Assigns pagers for staff.
  • Coordinates meetings and prepares agendas. Maintains office equipmentmachines. Monitors office suppliesinventory and orders items as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree or 8 years of patient transport experience.
Excellent communication (both oral and written), organization, multi-tasking, customer service skills.
Good computer skills; Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 2 years in a hospital transport environment. Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, multi-tasking, and customer service skills. Good computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $33.00 - $33.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
