Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Inventory Coordinator - Repairs and Maintenance - Mineola.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for all stockroom areas. Oversees daily inventory operations. Evaluates the availability of material from vendors and compares pricing against pricing structure. Signs for material & supplies received to ensure delivery to correct locations. Responsible for inputting material issuance of stock into computer database and maintains perpetual inventory level. Collaborate with Management on project materials and financial reconciliation. Assist in vendor issue resolution. Monitor and streamline the flow of materials and parts across all departments, identifying areas for improvement in procurement, inventory control, and organization processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Materials Control: Issues materials and supplies to shop personnel. Signs for materials and supply deliveries. Place materials in proper locations in a timely manner. Notifies manager of any discrepancies. Works with supply chain, coordination, and vendors for more favorable pricing (compared with standard pricing negotiated by the sourcing department) and additional discounts through competitive bids. Initiates correct labeling and storage for added items and makes decisions on locations. Uses the web-based vendors to expedite the procurement process of materials. Issues material orders only to authorized staff. Ensure material slips are accurately filled, legible, and properly signed for posting and filing.
  • Order/Supplies: Places supply orders with an appropriate vendor. Prepare stockroom re-order request SMOs, as needed according to managers? instructions. Coordinates with management on special projects to determine materials needs and availability. Interfaces with the Purchasing department and the vendors in resolving problems with back orders.
  • Database Management: Enters materials, information and vendors into a computer database to maintain accurate inventory control. Performs spot checks on inventory to maintain a satisfactory level of supplies in the stockroom. Prepare miscellaneous reports as requested by the leadership team.
  • Report/Documentation: Responsible for generating reports such as: Inventory control, material cost comparison, and general stockroom information as requested. Assists in preparing and distributing to operations managers monthly spending reports. Develop and monitor internal reports for managers regarding material and inventory. Composes clear, accurate and well-written reports when required.
  • Participates in annual budget planning by providing inventory usage data, forecasting materials needs, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. Collaborates with project teams to align departmental goals, timelines, and materials requirements, ensuring timely, cost-effective allocation of resources and optimized workflow execution. Assist in the creation of policies and procedures related to materials management, procurement, financial controls, and regulatory requirements to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3-7 years related experience of Inventory maintenance and stock control for supplies and equipment in a Healthcare setting. Effective communication skills (both oral and written), Excellent organizational skills. Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Work, Excel Advanced, Peoplesoft
Certified Materials & Resource Professionals (CMRP), Accredited by AHRMM, preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $83,976.83 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
