The Job/What You'll Do:

The HR Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department, assisting the Director and all HR functions-including Talent Acquisition and Onboarding, Employee Relations and Training, and Compensation and Benefits. This role ensures smooth execution of daily operations, maintains data accuracy, supports projects and process improvements, and coordinates documentation, reporting, and logistics. The workload will shift based on departmental priorities, providing focused support to different functions as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities:




  • The HR Coordinator performs a variety of administrative and operational duties to support the effectiveness and efficiency of the Human Resources Department. Responsibilities include the following:



    • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Provide administrative and project support to the Director of Human Resources and HR leadership team.
    • Support coordination and organization of HR projects and initiatives-such as multi-state launches, HR system implementations, and process rollouts-by tracking tasks, preparing materials, and assisting with logistics.
    • Maintain accuracy and integrity of employee data in HR systems, including HRIS, ATS, and document management platforms.
    • Prepare, update, track reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards related to HR metrics, headcount, and compliance.
    • Support employee relations and compliance functions by processing verifications of employment, unemployment claims, and electronic filing.
    • Monitor shared HR inboxes (e.g., HR, onboarding, recruiting, benefits) and Ask Here, triaging or responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Draft and distribute standard communications to employees, such as benefits eligibility notices and HR updates.
    • Submit IT and system access tickets for new hires, terminations, and leave of absence changes.
    • Maintain organized digital files and assist in auditing HR records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Provide cross-functional support to all HR sub-teams during high-volume periods, special projects, or team member absences.
    • Coordinate internal meetings, training, and department events, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation.
    • Assist with process documentation, workflow updates, and continuous improvement efforts across HR functions.
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.





Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:




  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organization and time management; effective communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, service-oriented approach; ability to manage confidential information with discretion; adaptable and flexible in shifting priorities across HR functions; proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems; proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude and strong follow-through.

Education & Experience:



  • 2+ years of experience in field, Required
  • High School diploma or GED, Required


Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties in the office or at a home office, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands; they must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to noise typical with office operations. Ability to hear and speak.
