Responsibilities The Business Intelligence Developer (BID) supports, designs, and optimizes Epic data and analytics solutions across the Cogito ecosystem, including Clarity, Caboodle, Chronicles, Radar, and SlicerDicer. Developers build validated, actionable reports and dashboards to empower clinical, operational, and financial decision-making. BIDs collaborate closely with Epic Application Analysts, operational stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure data products accurately represent workflows and strategic priorities. As developers progress through the levels, they assume greater responsibility for advanced data models, enterprise analytics projects, and executive-level reporting.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, analytics, healthcare administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Prior experience with Epic data models or healthcare analytics preferred. Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts strongly preferred. Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau) beneficial. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of Epic Cogito, including Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, and SlicerDicer. Proficiency in analytical reasoning, data validation, and translating operational requirements into data deliverables. Strong communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with technical and clinical partners. Knowledge of healthcare operations, revenue cycle, and clinical data preferred Certification Requirements: Must obtain Epic Cogito Fundamentals certification and at least one Epic Clarity Data Model certification (Access, Clinical, or Revenue Cycle) within 60 days of hire. Additional certifications/badges in Radar, SlicerDicer, or Cogito Analytics Administration expected as part of professional development and progression.
