Job Summary

The Prequalification Coordinator is responsible for evaluating and managing the prequalification process for potential clients and vendors. This role involves assessing risks, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.


Essential Duties

Prequalification Process Management:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of potential clients and vendors to determine their suitability and risk level.
  • Develop and implement prequalification criteria and procedures in line with company policies.
  • Maintain and update prequalification records and databases.

Risk Assessment:

  • Identify potential risks associated with new clients and vendor to understand priority of
  • Utilize risk assessment methodologies to evaluate and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and present findings to management.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all prequalification processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor and review compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to staff on prequalification and risk assessment practices.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Liaise with various departments to gather necessary information for prequalification assessments.
  • Communicate prequalification requirements and outcomes to clients and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Assessment team to develop risk mitigation strategies.

Communication and Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team to support initiatives.
  • Assist in creating and managing project efforts related to internal communications, marketing, social media and engagement programs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in Risk Management or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk assessment, compliance, or a similar role.
  • Ability to read technical documents, understand complex form sets, including government forms, industry requirements, safety documents, etc. and determine how to pair questions and answers in prequal formats
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to internal and external stakeholders to request information, update progress and finalize prequalifications while building and maintaining trusting relationships
  • Adobe Pro skills: editing, organizing/inserting/rearranging pages, combining files, minor edits.
  • Ability to navigate portals, understand requirements and deliverables within portals and meet deadlines appropriately
  • Maintain and organize the prequalification database and record storage
  • Ability to research construction industry standards and preferences related to prequalifications
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in a deadline-driven environment across multiple teams
  • Strong aptitude for teamwork and building solid relationships with pursuits, legal, contracts, accounting and other teams critical to the prequalification process
  • Acute attention to organization and detail; comfortable learning new technology and software platforms
  • Self-directed; motivates people and holds them accountable
  • High comfort with data and logic
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
