Summary

We are looking for a Spare Parts Manager to oversee all spare parts activities for Comau North America and to coordinate delivery of spare parts documentation for all active projects, working with Project/Platform and customer teams.

The Spare Parts Manager ensure standardization for all customer spare parts quotes and effective follow up methodology to drive increased sales.

The Spare Parts Manager direct the delivery of spare parts, equipment, and customer repairs; negotiate delivered cost for the organization and the end cost to customer and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Work with Standard Products and Project/Platform teams to ensure proper spare parts support, availability and pricing.
  • Develop strategic plans for the business unit
  • Simplify current order fulfillment process to gain efficiency
  • Develop and manage forecasts for sales and margin and coordinate it with Manufacturing and Purchasing
  • Manage monthly financial forecasts/budgeting reports
  • Monitor pricing to insure competitive position and that we are getting the maximum allowable price & market share
  • Hire, develop, and manage customer support staff
  • Develop effective sales and marketing materials
  • Support sales efforts for daily routine spare parts, initial start-up spare parts and special EDI processed spare parts.

Knowledge & Skills



  • Proven experience and responsibility for budget management
  • Successful industrial materials/spare parts experience
  • Demonstrable leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work with teams across business units
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Computers and Electronics - Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, and any other relevant software applications.
  • Mechanical & Controls - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.


Qualifications and Previous experience



  • At least 4 years Customer Service/Spare Parts Management/Sales position in a production or special equipment manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Engineering or Business Management is preferred
