The Marketing Specialist will assist the Marketing Team in the scheduling and management of marketing projects including digital marketing and advertising creative, copywriting, social media content, video content, print advertising, graphic design, and more. Individuals must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, and to efficiently juggle a workload in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines. Responsibilities
- Track and monitor marketing projects to ensure deliverables are completed on-time
- Compile creative assets for marketing projects
- Assist the Physicians Liaisons out in the field by dropping off flyers and invitations when needed
- Reviews, edits, and writes copy for advertisements, brochures, etc.
- Assists in the development of annual objectives, programs, and projects which will improve the efficiency of company advertising.
- Proofread and edit deliverables before sending to VOA staff member or physician for final review
- Communicate with the Marketing Manager on project status and required assets
- Assists in the development and distribution of pertinent reports that prove beneficial in supporting marketing programs and management.
- Help implement creative and social media initiatives based on marketing strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business administration, or related degree preferred
- 1-3 years related work experience required. Prior marketing experience in a health care setting preferred, but not necessary
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detailed-oriented
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications and social media platforms
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and/or another comparable design software a plus
- Strong strategic, analytical, and critical problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work various weekend days during the year for events and educational programs

The position requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
