Your Job

Molex is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Test Engineer to lead design, development, and execution of SI test strategies for signal integrity test activities for high-speed cable assemblies and related components in our electrical test lab at the Arkansas Design Center (ADC) located in Conway, AR. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, test efficiency, and alignment with customers and industry standards. The engineer will collaborate across design centers and manufacturing plants, supporting both NPD and production environments.

What You Will Do

* Lead and develop test plans, verification protocols, and compliance documentation high-speed cable assemblies (e.g. Direct Attach Copper (DAC), Active Copper Cable (ACC), and Active Electrical Cable (AEC)) for internal and external stake holders.

* Perform characterization and validation of high-speed connectors and cable assemblies using VNA, TDR, BERT, and other advanced measurement equipment and methodologies against IEEE, OIF, MSA, and other standards as required.

* Conduct simulations and modeling as needed to support test fixture develop and assembly failure analysis.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality and sourcing to ensure lab measurement equipment capability aligns with the current product development roadmap.

* Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical leadership and guidance.

* Drive continuous improvement in test methodologies, automation frameworks and data analytics.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* B.S. Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Systems/Computer) or B.S. Degree in an equivalent discipline

* Experience in test and measurement, can be university lab equipment

* Working knowledge with compiled programming languages such as Python

* Knowledge of microcontrollers.

* Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, TDR modules and/or VNA

* Knowledge in software development process and/or test system development

* Ability to apply computer programming concepts to solve complex problems in a variety of programming environments.

* Potential domestic/international travel requirements as needed (20%)

What Will Put You Ahead

* M.S. Degree in Engineer (Electrical/Systems/Computer)

* Minimum 2-5 years of progressive engineering experience with a strong understanding of product High Speed testing and designs

* Extensive experience with RF/microwave test and measurement equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules, 4-port network analyzers, and bit error rate testers.

* Working knowledge of RF/microwave transmission line theory including s-parameters, Fourier transformers, characteristic impedance, eye diagrams, time-domain analysis, cross talk, bit error rate testing, jitter analysis, etc.

* Experience using relational databases with software such as Microsoft SQL or MySQL.

* Electromagnetic simulation with software such as Ansys HFSS or CST Microwave Studio.

* Lean/six sigma yellow or green belt training. Understanding and application of control charts, process capability, gage R&R, and other lean/six sigma tools.
