Nurse Practitioner - Prepare Program Prepare Program Full Time 86972BR Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner in PREPARE clinic serves as an integral member of the Department of Anesthesiology and Preoperative Services, providing comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations for patients scheduled for surgical or procedural interventions. This role involves independently conducting thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and risk assessments to ensure patients are medically optimized for anesthesia and surgery. The NP collaborates closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to identify potential perioperative risks, initiate appropriate diagnostic workups, and coordinate necessary preoperative consultants. The position emphasizes clinical excellence, patient safety, and efficient surgical throughput by ensuring timely and thorough preparation of patients in accordance with institutional protocols and evidence-based guidelines. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).
