ABOUT THE JOB:

This role is responsible for SAP Solution development using ABAP coding and/or other types of custom development options to support SD, FICO, MM and PM business processes. In addition, the position will be responsible for supporting and developing PI configuration for interfacing with third party systems. The role will be responsible for writing technical specifications.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Maintain and implement technical solutions, specifications, and documentation for various sized projects or daily support initiatives.
  • Work on approved scope and drive effective solution/service
  • Understand business requirements and how they translate to new application features
  • Collaborate with development team and other staff to set specifications for new applications
  • Write high-quality code to program complete applications on schedule
  • Perform unit and integration testing before launch
  • Conduct technical testing
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications
  • Troubleshoot existing PI interfaces to determine technical issues
  • Evaluate existing applications to improve performance, update and add new features
  • Develop technical documents to accurately represent application design and code
  • Follows good development practices and SDLC methodologies throughout product development
  • Maintain IT Systems to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The role requires a solid understanding of SAP custom enhancement options, ability to work independently and have strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of programming experience in ABAP with Hands-on experience in designing and developing interfaces using ALE / IDoc, RFC, BAPI, User Exits, BADi, and Flat File technologies is required.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of hands on experience with PI/PO
  • Experience working with in S/4 HANA or native HANA is a plus
  • Experience in WebDynpro development is a plus
  • Experience in UI5 development is a plus
  • Experience with Other non-SAP technologies is a plus
  • Experience and understanding with SD, FICO, MM and PM business processes is a plus
  • Application development: 7 years
  • Hands-On PI: 2 years
  • Programming in ABAP: 7 years
  • Strong Understanding of SDLC, architecture and project mgmt: 4 years
