Job Description

The lead plate maker is a subject matter expert to assist with day-to-day production activities. The lead will play a key role in the training and mentoring of the plate room employees. This individual will lead by example and help to foster a work environment that encourages creative, positive thinking and embraces a culture of change along with complete customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Coaches and mentors employees as needed with the goal of enabling and empowering the employee to eventually problem-solve themselves.
  • Responsible to communicate daily with the opposite Lead on shift and provide the shift hand-off.
  • Keep the Supervisor and Manager updated daily on the plate room activity.
  • Responsible to meet team production and quality goals.
  • Monitors the Imaging schedule and communicates criticality as needed.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance, equipment checks and troubleshooting equipment as qualified.
  • Provides follow-up and takes the lead on insuring flawless execution for high priority / high visibility work: Urgent requests, verifications, trials.
  • Actively participates on quality meetings and works with team to provide solutions.
