Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Response in Erie, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will support hospital staff and visitors, while you provide exceptional customer service and respond to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual activity, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to direct individuals as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and/or law enforcement as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccination is required for this hospital position.
  • Work may involve duties in the hospital morgue.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital environment.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
