Job Description




Our canine group, under Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a Fire Safety Director. The Fire Safety Director is responsible for protecting life and property through the implementation of the building's fire safety plan, including the management of the Fire Command Station and the supervision of the fire brigade, floor wardens, and deputy floor wardens and building evacuation supervisors. The Fire Safety Director is required to act as a liaison to the designated Fire Department during emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Ensure all life safety systems and related equipment are fully operational and regularly inspected
  • Verify that each floor maintains complete fire safety teams, including Fire Wardens, Deputy Fire Wardens, and Building Evacuation Team members
  • Conduct fire alarm drills and document critiques to identify and address any weaknesses in response times, procedures, or life safety equipment
  • Provide clear, courteous, and professional assistance to visitors, guests, vendors, and employees during both routine operations and emergency situations
  • Assist security personnel by visually inspecting visitor, vendor, and employee access badges or identification cards to confirm authenticity and prevent unauthorized entry
  • Maintain vigilance for suspicious persons, activities, or packages and report findings promptly

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess an F-89 Certification of Fitness for Fire Life Safety Director or a Certificate of Completion of training for an F-89 (issued by FDNY)
  • Must be able to obtain a valid Guard License as required in the state for which you are applying
