The Director of Academic and Career Integration Enrollment Services The Director of Academic and Career Integration serves as a vital connector between faculty, academic programs, and career development resources. This role is responsible for helping faculty align curriculum with career competencies and outcomes, ensuring that students can clearly identify and communicate the skills they gain through their academic experiences. The director works collaboratively across departments to integrate career readiness into academic experiences, enhancing both student success and post-graduate outcomes. This position will supervise two program managers (for VMock and the Working Learner program - both key initiatives of the strategic plan), and work collaboratively across the division of Student Success and the entire university. WHAT MAKES THE Enrollment Services Department A GREAT PLACE? * Generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, tuition assistance, retirement, etc. * A knowledge-sharing organization that works collaboratively with a variety of partners. * Professional development opportunity and mentorship * A rapidly growing center within an academic setting HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO * Partner with faculty from each meta major to identify and articulate career-relevant skills embedded in course content. * Support curriculum development that incorporates career competences (e.g. NACE Career Readiness Competencies). * Train faculty to use the Skills Briefcase in iCollege to document the development of career ready skills. * Facilitate workshops or training for faculty on integrating career content and outcomes into syllabi and teaching. * Collaborate with academic departments to embed career exploration and skill-building activities into courses. * Develop resources and tools to help faculty connect academic content to industry trends and employer expectations. * Work with Career Services to align academic programming with employer needs and labor market data. * Serve as a liaison between academic units and career services to foster a culture of career readiness across campus. * Promote high-impact practices such as internships, project-based learning, and co-curricular experiences that bridge classroom learning with career preparation. * Supervise project managers for the working learner program, VMock, and other strategic career initiatives. * Track and assess the impact of academic-career integration initiatives on student outcomes. * Support other divisional projects and duties as assigned. Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Master's degree and four years of experience; or a combination of education and experience with career readiness, curricular development and/or internships and experiential learning; experience teaching at a college level or working closely with college faculty is preferred.
