How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:

The Senior Director Ambulatory Finance provides strategic financial leadership and direction for the organization's physician enterprise, including all employed medical groups, specialty practices, and primary care clinics. The role is accountable for financial planning, forecasting, operational finance, physician compensation administration, provider performance analytics, and the development and execution of performance improvement strategies that strengthen financial and operational outcomes. This position leads financial management activities that support long-term sustainability and continuous improvement across the physician practice portfolio. The Senior Director partners closely with medical group leadership, practice operations, corporate finance, and senior executive leadership, and works collaboratively across the broader finance and accounting enterprise to ensure financial alignment, consistency, and support of organizational goals.

  • Serves as a member of management team.
  • Directs the development of operating and capital budgets.
  • Helps establish and monitor financial metrics and prepare budget variance analyses.
  • Coordinates and/or performs short and long range financial analyses using appropriate techniques.
  • Analyzes financial impact of proposed contracts and recommends execution.
  • Analyzes operational issues affecting designated areas and the whole organization and determine their financial impact.
  • Evaluates and recommends business opportunities.
  • Expected to be a decision-maker and problem solver; able to find unique and efficient ways to solve difficult and complex problems.
  • Provides financial education to designated areas.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with revenue cycle management, treasury, audit, tax, accounting decision support and insurance departments on behalf of designated areas.

What We Require:

Education: Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance or business administration. Masters degree in business administration or related field desirable.

Experience: Seven years experience in healthcare finance, accounting or financial planning

Licensure/Certifications/Registration: CPA desirable
