Overview We are seeking Data Center Technicians to install cable and fiber infrastructure at data centers in New Albany, OH. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work, including OSP (Outside Plant) tasks, so candidates must be comfortable working outdoors. Entry-level candidates with relevant training or coursework are welcome to apply. Schedule * Monday-Thursday: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM * Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM * (Schedule subject to change; flexibility required.) Requirements * Prior experience or training in low-voltage cabling or data center work preferred. * Comfortable performing OSP work outdoors. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building documentation. * Understanding of data center infrastructure technologies. Responsibilities * Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment. * Perform cable pulling, terminations, labeling, and testing for copper and fiber. * Install ladder racking and seismic bracing above and below raised floors. * Maintain data center cleanliness and adhere to safety and quality standards. * Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve project obstacles. * Operate and program testing equipment (DSX 5000, OTDR, Linkware). * Perform fusion splicing (Ribbon/Single OSP/ISP). * Create and apply labels per port maps. * Conduct service swaps of live networking devices. Skills & Qualifications * Knowledge of telecom hand tools and wiring schemes. * Ability to pull and terminate low-voltage cable (Cat5, Cat6, fiber). * Familiarity with structured cabling, rack and stack, and cable dressing. * Basic understanding of copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on raised platforms. * Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and visual). Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
