Milliman'sCMH Health Practice islooking for a Power BI Analyst with a strong data visualization background tojointheir vibrant, dynamic, and growing practice.This role offers the opportunity to work in a wide variety of markets within the healthcare industry, while working alongside some of the leading experts in the field. While Power BI remains a core tool for this role, we are looking for candidates excited about modern data visualization techniques and the integration of AI/ML into analytics workflows.

Job responsibilities



  • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other business intelligence (BI) solutions and data visualization solutions across multiple platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or others).
  • Perform data analysis, data validation, and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to support strategic insights.
  • Incorporate AI-assisted analytics (e.g., predictive modeling, natural language querying, automated insights) into reporting workflows where applicable.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements and deliver comprehensive BI solutions that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with all Milliman required Quality Risk Management requirements.


Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Visualization or related fields.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Proven experience with Power BI and other BI technologies. Prociency in DAX, SQL, and Power Query is preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with modern analytics tools or frameworks (e.g., Python, R, Azure ML, Microsoft Fabric AI features) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and analyze signicant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.


Competencies and Behaviors that Support Success in this Role



  • Adept at queries, data storytelling, and presenting ndings in compelling and visually engaging formats Knowledge of healthcare analytics platforms, and processing environments including Graphical User Interfaces, batch processing, and APIs.
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages a plus.
  • Proven expertise using Microsoft office applications
  • Experience using Power Query and writing DAX.
  • Familiarity with dimensional data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, lake house architecture, ETL processes, and capacity management.
  • Curiosity about emerging analytics capabilities, including AI-driven insights, automated reporting, and augmented BI.

Salary:

The overall salary range for this role is $65,200 - $161,575.

For candidates residing in:

Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Newark, San Jose, San Francisco, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia:



  • $74,980 - $119,830 if overall experience is less than 4 years; and
  • $97,865 - $161,575 for experience greater than 4 years


All other states:



  • $65,200 - $104,200 if overall experience is less than 4 years; and
  • $85,100- $140,500 for experience greater than 4 years


Location: It is preferred that candidates work on-site at our Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, or Hartford, CT office. Remote candidates will be considered.
