FlexStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health to work remote, 4 hours per day for one of our external clients, an inpatient addiction treatment center.

This is a temporary job.

Position Details:

* Schedule: Part-time, with 4-hour shifts. Exact timing can vary, and weekends can be split into two blocks (e.g., 9 AM - 11 AM and 2 PM - 4 PM).

* Hourly Pay: $52 - $56/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct initial history and physical examinations.

* Order and evaluate necessary lab tests.

* Prescribe medications and make referrals as needed.

* Assess and monitor clients' physical conditions and responses to medications throughout the detoxification and residential phases.

Requirements:

* Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).

* Current, active NYS RN license.

* At least one year of experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health.

* Experience with both general medical and psychiatric populations.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

* Conduct Virtual Appointments and perform assessments and evaluations through telehealth platforms. Monitor patients' progress and wellbeing during virtual sessions.

* Medication Management: assist caregivers in administering prescribed medications during home visits, educate caregivers about medication dosages, schedules, and potential side effects, ensure adherence to medication protocols and safety guidelines.

* Provide patients and caregivers with information about detoxification procedures and recovery processes.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.

* Monitor patients for signs of withdrawal and adverse reactions. Report any significant changes or concerns to the medical team promptly.

* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, assessments, and care provided in compliance with regulations.

* Provide guidance and support in crisis situations, offering immediate advice and resources to caregivers. Escalate urgent situations to the medical team as needed.
