Job Title: APP Family Medicine - Dublin Description Employment Status:Full time Shift:Day/Evening (United States of America) Facility:118 Broad St - Dublin CP08 Carilion Medical Center. Requisition Number:R156742 APP Family Medicine - Dublin (Open) How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:Carilion Clinic has a full time APP ( NP or PA) opportunity available at Carilion Family Medicine - Dublin. The APP will assist physicians and other nursing personnel in the delivery of primary health care and patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assess, plan and provide care. Perform patient examinations, compile appropriate patient information and documentation. Review patient reports and make appropriate recommendations and refill medications. Hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00AM-5:30PM (hours vary depending on clinic needs). 3 years experienced required. Curiosity is one of Carilion Clinic's values. As such, PAs and NPs who have worked within Family and Community Medicine, for at least 1 year, will be scheduled to precept PA and NP students from our partnering programs. What We Require: Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program or Accredited Physician Assistant Program. Experience: One year of experience preferred. Additional experience may be required for some specialties. Licensure, certification, and/or registration: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) as set forth by the state of Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine. Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS/NPR, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS) as required, specific to position. Other Minimum Qualifications: Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of Carilion Clinic, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Capable of meeting credentialing or job function requirements as needed based on the requirements of the practice and of managed care payors and insurers. Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Clinic's malpractice insurance carrier. Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
