We are seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to join our team in our Harrisburg, PA.

Earn $25.56/hour.

Position Details

This role is responsible for recruiting new resource families through community events, referrals, and outreach efforts while increasing awareness of Merakey's foster care program and standardizing recruitment practices and materials. It provides guidance to prospective resource parents through recruiter calls and program-specific support. The position oversees onboarding by tracking and completing approval requirements, communicating expectations and next steps, and resolving barriers to timely approval. It ensures accurate, compliant documentation, maintains Train-the-Trainer status for required trainings, and submits approval materials to program leadership. Retention responsibilities include supervising resource parents through monthly visits, compliance monitoring, annual reapproval, payroll processing, and clinical leadership of escalated cases. The role also facilitates support groups, provides trauma-informed training and resources, contributes to placement-matching decisions, and organizes engagement events for resource parents.
