What You Can Expect

  • You will be responsible for the development of preamplifier ICs for HDD application.

  • You will work on design automation processes, mainly Cadence SKILL for automating layout and schematic tasks, customizing design environments, querying database, and streamlining workflows.

  • You will contribute to the implementation (design, simulation-based verification and chip integration) & validation of new and derivative ICs using the Advanced Silicon Germanium process.

  • Perform system level & block level IC design activities including: Circuit Architecture definition, circuit design, schematic capture, circuit & sub-system simulation, chip floor-planning and layout planning

  • Create clear documentation of design & product development activities to ensure high quality designs & to support dissemination of important design information to cross-functional teams.

  • Work with Characterization & Product Engineers to define, conduct and analyze data from product performance.

  • Be willing to take different roles in different projects as needed for project success.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of related professional experience OR Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-3 years of experience.

  • Minimum two years of overall analog integrated circuit design and design automation experience.

  • Expertise in Cadence SKILL language as well Python and PERL scripting languages.

  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge in deep sub-micron CMOS or BiCMOS technologies.

  • Minimum two years hands-on experience in designing mixed signal integrated circuits including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, Filters, Bandgap bias circuits, regulators, or other analog circuits.

  • Knowledge and experience on low power and high-speed design techniques.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are essential.

  • Demonstrable knowledge on IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog, etc.

  • A thorough understanding of the physical layout requirements and ability to perform the critical layouts for various analog circuits.

  • Lab testing skills to evaluate the prototype unit to the design specification.

  • Motivated to carry out a wide variety of tasks with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

141,900 - 210,010, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
