Job Summary:

The Senior Marketing Manager is a critical member of the NMS marketing team. Partnering with the sales and product management teams, the Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for marketing strategy, for developing and executing marketing campaigns, driving revenue growth through customer engagement, and for sales enablement.

The Senior Marketing Manager develops and communicates the value proposition of NMS Labs for various customer segments in line with the business strategy. This role serves as a key conduit to channel feedback from customers into the marketing team and plays an important role in the development and execution of the marketing plans. This person also contributes to broader marketing needs and inter-departmental projects as required. The Senior Marketing Manager is expected to operate in an environment that requires attention to regulatory agency oversight and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS required; MBA preferred.
  • Six or more years of demonstrated Marketing experience in brand/marketing management in the areas of Forensics, Clinical Laboratory, In Vitro Diagnostics, Medical Devices/Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or related healthcare segment required. Knowledge of laboratory testing is a plus.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Results
    1. Performs all duties of a Marketing Manager proficiently
    2. Provides enhanced ideas on how to maximize revenue growth or profit margin of the NMS Labs testing portfolio within specific customer segments and executes on those ideas
    3. Has a broader financial perspective than just the Commercial Business Unit and understands the larger NMS financial performance.
  • Marketing Strategy
    1. Performs all duties of a Marketing Manager proficiently
    2. Understands the interplay in marketing channel strategies and determines/optimizes the channel strategy mix across all marketing materials
    3. Contributes to the development of overall marketing strategy for products, services, and other key initiatives.
  • Customer Insights and Analytics
    1. Performs all duties of a Marketing Manager, proficiently
    2. Ability to take customer feedback and consistently enhance the marketing resources created to meet the needs of specific customer segments
    3. Able to consistently take customer feedback and analytics to derive keen insights to drive the creation of marketing strategies and resources
  • Business Planning & Execution
    1. Performs all duties of a Marketing Manager proficiently
    2. Ability to strategically plan and successfully execute launches of new market offerings across an omni-channel environment
    3. Develops the overall marketing strategy for products, services, and other key initiatives through the develop and execution of product/product area specific marketing plans.
  • Supervision & Mentoring
    1. Provide marketing, sales and product line mentorship to marketing and sales peers.
    2. May hire and supervise assigned marketing staff
  • Collateral and Email Marketing
    1. Performs all duties of a Marketing Manager proficiently
  • Tradeshows & Conferences
    1. Performs all duties of a Marketing Manager proficiently
    2. Works with Vice President, Commercial Marketing, Sales Leadership and Scientific Leadership to develop a tradeshow strategy that balances lead generation and brand visibility with investment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to seamlessly shift from strategic marketing to tactical marketing execution
  • Strong analytical skills and linear logic mindset to support planning, development, reporting and accountability of marketing activities
  • Knowledge of marketing automation and CRM software
  • Familiarity with Sales Enablement marketing approaches
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and big picture orientation with attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to be a vocal contributor to a multifunctional go-to-market team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to conceptualize and express unique selling propositions in variety of content.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and metrics tracking/development.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to talk, hear, stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to manipulate instrument/equipment controls, computer keyboard, office equipment, objects, or tools
  • Moving from one work location to another to sit and stand, sometimes for extended periods of time
  • Vision (with correction) including color, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Travel up to 10%, primarily domestic, with ability to travel internationally if required
