Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Media Operations & Social Media Platforms will manage several responsibilities across brand teams, between the Digital department and external media partnerships, and provide oversight of commercially owned social media platforms. The Associate Director ensures maximum impact of working media by delivering effective, compliant, targeted and data-driven campaigns that reach and engage both healthcare professionals and patient/caregiver audiences. Incumbents in this role will utilize their expertise in pharmaceutical marketing/advertising, media planning, social media platform administration, project & agency management and performance optimization to drive digital marketing priorities. Additionally, this role will supervise digital marketing team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Media planning & strategic input:



  • Provide fluency in media strategy and ability to collaborate & introduce new ideas, approaches, and test agendas as the in-house subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage the media-planning process in conjunction with brand and agency timelines and works to produce audience-specific media plan/calendar for the marketing year.
  • Ensure media plans correctly address brand strategies and priorities for both DTC and HCP audiences.


Communication/facilitation:



  • Partners with team members to facilitate and lead media-status & analytics meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between brand and agency on priorities, approvals, stakeholder needs, and real-time developments that inform strategy.


Project management & plan execution:



  • Craft media briefs reflecting brand objectives, audience behaviors, outcomes/KPIs and ensures agency-proposed program designs match the direction provided by the team and are within given budgets and timelines.
  • Leads assigned brand initiatives ensuring delivery and desired outcomes.
  • manages submissions to PRC/MLR when media-specific components require review.


1P data-capture & delivery:



  • Provides prompt and compliant capture and delivery of customer data to Supernus' data warehouse for assigned projects and brands.
  • Manages media projects that capture NPI-level customer data from HCP programs.
  • Ensure prompt and compliant capture and delivery of customer data to Supernus' data warehouse for assigned projects and brands (as appropriate).


Media & social media platform(s) knowledge & ownership:



  • Manages designated media platforms including audience identity systems (Crossix) and inventory Delivery platforms (Basis DSP, Google, or Bing platforms).
  • Manages the administration of user access, content approvals, and campaign workflows.
  • Ensures compliance of two-way/social media engagement platforms used by the commercial organization.


Measurement & optimization:



  • Determines acceptable benchmarks for campaign KPIs and measurement frameworks to evaluate media effectiveness.
  • Routinely analyze campaign performance data and provide actionable insights to optimize media investments.
  • Access and analyze media data within measurement platforms (Google Analytics, Datorama, and Sales Force Marketing Cloud).
  • Collaborates to ensure media performance data connects with marketing KPIs (CRM, web behavior, conversions, patient journeys, etc.) to help characterize overall brand ecosystems and behavioral pathways.


Market monitoring & functional knowledge:



  • Routinely monitors the media and marketing landscape and contributes data, knowledge, and media insights to the Commercial organization.
  • Partners with Legal to map and monitor the data-privacy landscape for requirements and procedural implications in HCP/DTC marketing & recommend actions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitors competitors' marketing tactics and efforts and inform brand teams of activities and implications.
  • Develops SOPs to ensure institutional knowledge and consistent work practices around media persists across internal teams.


Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Provides leadership and management in an effective manner consistent with Company Values towards defined Corporate Objectives.
  • Understands Company Policy and procedure to be able to guide direct reports appropriately.


Knowledge & Other Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or other related business fields. A Master of Business Administration a plus.
  • A Minimum of eight years of applicable full-time work experience with at least 3 years in digital marketing, media, or pharmaceutical/healthcare marketing.
  • At least one year of previous experience in a supervisory or management role is required.
  • Previous experience managing large-scale media campaigns and budgets a plus.
  • Previous Experience measuring, mining, and generating insights from digital customer engagement data within all digital channels, including website, paid media, social media, and email campaign data sets.
  • Familiarity with analytics and visualization platforms such as Google Marketing Platform (GTM, GA & GSC), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Tableau a plus.
  • Ability to visualize brand marketing ecosystems and connections that influence planning, execution, and performance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex media and operations concepts to cross- functional teams.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:



  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Occasional travel required, including days, nights, and weekends based on business and project needs.


Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $140,000 to $162,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.

Base salary is one part of the overall compensation package, which includes the opportunity to participate in employee stock purchase programs and performance-based bonus programs.
