Job Description (General Summary)

We're looking for a Technical Trainer to lead the delivery of instructor-led customer training. This position is part of a newly established and rapidly growing global Customer Training team focused on enhancing customer value through exceptional learning experiences.

As a key contributor, you'll help shape a comprehensive educational program that addresses critical conveyance needs. You'll collaborate with a dynamic Learning & Development team and report to the Customer Training Manager. This position is based in New Orleans (Harahan) and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a global organization recognized for innovation and workplace excellence.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities

*Lead and deliver high-impact, instructor-led training for customers in classroom, virtual, and on-site environments.

*Support the design, development, and continuous refinement of technical training materials, including presentations, hands-on activities, digital learning modules, and job aids.

*Assess training effectiveness using learner feedback and demonstrated knowledge/skill outcomes; drive ongoing improvements to training content and delivery.

*Translate business and customer needs into training requirements by analyzing product and process audits, performance metrics, maintenance/troubleshooting data, and account strategies.

*Collaborate with the Training Project Manager and Training Manager in advance of each project to confirm logistics and ensure all health and safety requirements are met; oversee training spaces to maintain participant safety during delivery.

*Contribute to the development and execution of train-the-trainer programs to build internal instructional capability.

*Strengthen the Intralox Customer Training program by creating and simplifying tools, sharing knowledge across the team, and partnering with designers, instructors, and field technicians to establish best practices.

Requirements

* 5+ years' experience in teaching, instructional delivery, and/or technical training.

*Mechanical and/or electrical engineering degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience and demonstrated technical aptitude.

*Working knowledge of engineering design software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.

*Demonstrated ability to communicate mechanical engineering concepts clearly, concisely, and in an accessible manner.

*Strong communication and facilitation skills, including presenting, active listening, effective questioning, and time management.

*Customer-focused mindset with a proven commitment to delivering an exceptional training experience.

*Self-directed and adaptable; confident, resilient, proactive, and capable of managing priorities independently.

*Excellent planning, organizational, and project management capabilities.

*Receptive to feedback with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.

*Willingness to travel up to 75% to support customer training schedules, including occasional weekends.

*Ability to transport and handle up to 75 lbs. of training equipment on customer sites as needed.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Intralox considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training and key skills. The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans.

Salary Range: $51,800 to $119,600
