Security Officer - Armed School Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed School Patrol in Eden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at this educational location, you will conduct patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires both an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving during your patrols. You will provide exceptional customer service while supporting a secure environment, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.
• Maintain a visible presence within the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to students, staff, and visitors as needed.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary in response to incidents.
• Support the enforcement of site-specific policies and procedures related to security and conduct at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
