Here's what you'd do:
- This team focuses on customer and development issues that are flagged by different teams at the client.
- They are needed to diagnose, test, and submit bug tickets for their findings to resolve the issues.
- The role will consist of an access control module - this is the ECU that controls the entry to the vehicle and any issues that are found around this feature.
- This role provides the opportunity to work in a niche area of the market.
- This role will allow the opportunity to gain useful knowledge within ACM and is a unique requirement tailored to all OEM positions within the vehicle industry.

- This role offers the opportunity to gain a broader understanding of the vehicle industry and the processes and procedures around troubleshooting.
- Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality of work.
- We are seeking a Software Support Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our connectivity team and contribute to the development of stable software solutions.
- You will also be working with the infotainment software system issues with multiple teams for their own domain.
- You'll also assist in testing some of the key infotainment features along with development.
- Another key responsibility is interacting with internal and external customers about issues and debugging them along with the development team, and providing solutions for the field service engineering team.
- Working with the infotainment development team to understand and document issues to help with field issues.
- Documenting steps clearly for knowledge transfer purposes.
- Assist in performing OTA updates to vehicles and ensure smooth rollouts.
- Help identify and troubleshoot connectivity issues involving LTE, WiFi, GPS, and networking.
- Participate in testing connectivity features and document results.
- Collaborate with the team to develop an understanding of vehicle networks and connectivity platforms.
- Gain exposure to vehicle communication protocols (CAN and CANoe).
- Contribute to the maintenance of the test infrastructure.
- Document issues clearly and coordinate with developers to resolve them efficiently.
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $58.97 / hr.
Hours: 40 hrs/Week.
Length: Contract (13 months).

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
- Minimum 2 years of embedded systems and diagnostics experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with an access control module or another component in testing and diagnosis.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Linux.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with the Vector tool.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, vehicle charging, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with TCU and Infotainment would be an additional point.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Ability to work within another ECU software.
- Basic understanding of LTE, WiFi, GPS, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols and embedded systems (CAN knowledge).
- Interest in Linux systems and embedded software testing.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective team collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal).
