Your Assignment:

The Research department is looking for a motivated Mechatronics research intern to work on the next generation Mechatronics modules for our EUV scanners.Together with a multi-disciplinary team you will work on the design, analysis and testing of a next generation mechatronic components in a challenging environment.Your expertise combined with strong analytical skills and a creative problem solving mindset will generate new ideas and concepts at the very forefront of technology development. You will influence the design of modules and their performance levels from specification to design.

Your Profile:
  • Student working towards a BS or MS/PhD degree, in Mechatronic System Design, Electrical Engineering or similar or equivalent experience.

  • Broad knowledge of mechatronics system design.

  • Designing and performing verification experiments and qualifications.

  • Translating multidisciplinary insights in proposals for prototype designs.

  • Experienced with MATLAB, ANSYS or COMSOL a plus.

  • Piezo actuation experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge/hands-on experience with software/technical tools.

  • Strong English communication skills- both written and oral.

Other information

  • This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

Role within Office

Responsibilities:

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • May require travel dependent on business needs.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Additional Responsibilities:

There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.).
