SUMMARY:
Position is a core member of our Consultation-Liaison Hospital service, which trains our Brown University fellows, residents and medical students. A faculty appointment in the Brown University Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (DPHB) commensurate with experience is available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties include consultation-liaison to our inpatient medical and surgical wards and outpatient specialty care settings.We encourage candidates to develop a niche area of interest as we expand and diversify our department.Weekend CL work is available for candidates interested in a schedule that provides some weekdays off.PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:Effective utilization of resourcesManagement of continuous quality improvementHigh quality, high value patient-focused servicesResource productivityFiscal responsibilityDevelopment and implementation of effective quality programsCustomer satisfactionPerformance improvements year-to-yearPositive feedback from peers, directs reports and staff
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION:Applicants must have an M.D. / D.O. degree and be certified in General Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with subspecialty eligibility/certification in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry preferred.Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.SUPERVISIONupervisory responsibility for up to ____FTEs.
