Overview

Nakupuna is seeking a high-performing Business Development Analyst to support business development, capture, and proposal activities within our Mission & Business Operations Services (MBOS) line of business. This role plays a critical part in identifying new opportunities, managing the BD pipeline, and supporting proposal execution to drive sustained growth.

The Business Development Analyst works closely with the MBOS Managing Director, Capture Managers, and the broader Business Development team to ensure disciplined execution of the full business development lifecycle.



Responsibilities

Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Management

    Research and identify new federal business opportunities aligned with MBOS capabilities
  • Qualify opportunities and maintain an accurate, up-to-date opportunity pipeline
  • Track capture activities, milestones, and deadlines across multiple opportunities
  • Support preparation and delivery of pipeline updates and forecasts for leadership

Capture & Business Development Support

  • Support Capture Managers in developing capture strategies, win themes, and customer engagement plans
  • Assist with competitive research and analysis
  • Prepare capture documentation, gate review materials, and internal briefings
  • Participate in industry days, customer meetings, and business development events as needed

Proposal Development Support

  • Serve as a core proposal team member on priority opportunities
  • Support proposal development efforts from pre-RFP through submission
  • Coordinate subject matter expert inputs and manage content deadlines
  • Draft, edit, and format proposal content to ensure quality and compliance
  • Draft responses to RFIs, sources sought, and market research inquiries

Data, Tools & Process Execution

  • Utilize Salesforce, GovWin, Prosal, Qlik, and other BD tools to track opportunities and capture activities
  • Maintain BD documentation, past performance repositories, and proposal artifacts
  • Support continuous improvement of BD and proposal processes


Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

Required

  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Familiarity with the federal contracting environment

Preferred

  • Experience supporting federal proposals or capture efforts
  • Familiarity with GWACs, MACs, and small business contracting vehicles
  • Experience using Salesforce, GovWin, Prosal, Qlik, or similar tools

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, capture support, proposal support, or federal project delivery

Clearance: No clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
