Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Access Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor and patrol a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. This position is both armed and driving, requiring you to maintain a visible presence and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Assist visitors and employees with access-related questions and procedures, providing a high level of customer service.
  • Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any access violations, unusual activity, or incidents according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as necessary during incidents or emergencies on the premises.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all access control activities and incidents for management review.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
