Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Regional Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth, market penetration, and customer engagement within multiple territories throughout the region. This role leads and develops a team of territory managers and distributors while working closely with key accounts, application engineering, and internal support teams to deliver value-added cutting tool solutions.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales leader with deep knowledge of metal cutting applications, strong leadership skills, and a consultative sales approach.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES:




  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target industries and key accounts.
  • Drive adoption of Guhring cutting tools, services, and engineered solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a professional team of territory managers.
  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews of team members.
  • Support field sales efforts through joint customer visits and technical sales support.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key end users, OEMs, and distribution partners.
  • Manage strategic accounts and oversee major opportunities and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with distributors to ensure alignment on goals, training, and market coverage.
  • Work closely with application engineering, product management, marketing, and operations to attain sales objectives and goals.
  • Provide feedback on product performance, customer requirements, and market demands.
  • Support product launches, technical training, trade shows, customer demonstrations, on-site tool testing, etc.
  • Manage regional sales forecasts, budgets, and pipeline activity.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track opportunities, performance metrics, and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and strategic updates to leadership.
