What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required by site protocols.
• Carry and responsibly handle a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and local regulations while on duty.
• Provide visible presence and assist with access control to restricted areas as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
