Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Laguna Hills, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and exceptional customer service will support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post, where you will utilize your skills to monitor the premises, respond to situations, and uphold our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to monitor for security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or hazards to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as directed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
