As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while providing strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle to cover assigned areas, respond to calls, and document activities. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorization, maintaining visitor sign-in procedures, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and report irregular conditions in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal personnel and/or public responders when required.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and electronic logs, with timely notification to supervision per site procedures.
- Assist with traffic, parking, and delivery coordination as directed, including checking credentials for scheduled deliveries and routing to designated areas.
- Perform basic inspections of doors, gates, and restricted areas to help identify unsecured conditions and report maintenance and/or security-related issues through the proper channels.
- Support emergency preparedness activities such as drills, evacuations, and shelter-in-place actions as directed by site leadership and Allied Universal post instructions.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while following Allied Universal standards, client-specific requirements, and confidentiality expectations.
Minimum Requirements: - - A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- - Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- - Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- - Be at least 21 years of age.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
