Summary:
Responsibility for multiple network entities' day-to-day management of revenue cycle patient access operations including operational budget compliance; productivity, quality, and key metric tracking and reporting; regulatory compliance; problem resolution; personnel management and satisfaction; and performance improvement. Patient access operations may include, but are not limited to admissions/registration, emergency department registration, financial counseling, cashiering, financial assistance, and Medicaid eligibility.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Access - Maintains familiarity with applicable Federal and State rules and regulations. Educate supervisors and subordinate employees. Develop and successfully implement improvement plans, when necessary to resume compliance. Actively participate in development of goals, metrics, and objectives. Monitor and succinctly report individual and team metrics. Develop and implement processes and procedures to reach and exceed goals. Actively participate and collaborate among entities and departments to monitor and maintain productivity and quality standards, promoting performance improvement and patient satisfaction. Operational analysis, action planning, prioritization, and communication of initiatives, goals, objectives, and measurements. Maintain subject matter expertise in all information systems necessary to lead, implement, and support business processes. Prepare and report operational data to support budget preparation. Timely identification and reporting of trends and root causes to director that inhibit departmental performance. Establish, with supervisors, and lead, when appropriate, team meetings and bidirectional communication strategies.

2. Leading People-Leads people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Serves as a role model by demonstrating commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in organizational performance.

4. Results Driven-Exceeds departmental and organizational goals and customer expectations. Makes decisions that produce high-quality results by applying knowledge, analyzing problems, and calculating risks. Delivers high-quality services and is committed to continuous improvement. Understands the overall financial performance of the organization and applies financial concepts and practices to establish and maintain realistic budgets. Uses financial information to monitor overall financial status of operations.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Five (5) years of progressive experience in related field.

* Understands and appropriately applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.
