Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security Sergeant.
In this role, the successful candidate Under the direction of the Director of Security, this position will supervise all Security Services personnel in the overall Performance of their duties and assists in managing and monitoring he security management program for Lutheran HealthCare facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze data regarding security activities to determine patterns and effectiveness of security activities.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times and is properly uniformed and well groomed.
- Perform other security-related duties and tasks as directed.
- Maintains on-going interest in employee's well-being and personal growth. Provides an environment and leadership style that motivates, encourages, and educates staff.
- Provide information and assistance to students, staff, and the general public.
- Perform safety and equipment inspections.
- Report and control unauthorized or suspicious persons, unsafe conditions or other irregularities.
- Review and approve reports written and submitted by security personnel and assist Police Officers when necessary.
- Supervise the enforcement of parking regulations.
- Evaluate security guards on an annual basis.
- Submits reports and informs Director of any unusual occurrences.
- Plan and develop work schedules ensuring adequate security coverage for the performance of security and special event activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred.
CPR/ Heart Saver Certification
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
