NATURE AND SCOPE
Reporting to the SVP, Branch Strategy and Development, the Market Manager is accountable for the growth and development of an assigned market. This role expands the credit union's local presence by building strong relationships with members, small businesses, and community partners. The Market Manager leads and develops high-performing branch teams while ensuring consistent execution of sales, service, and operational standards. Success is achieved through strong market strategy, exceptional member experiences, sound risk management, and active, visible involvement in the community.



REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
2. Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in financial services or a related, relationship-driven environment.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams across multiple locations or business units.
4. Experience driving growth through community engagement and business development.
5. Strong working knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management practices.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with members, associates, and community partners.
7. Deep understanding of Wisconsin markets and local economic conditions, with the ability to translate insights into business strategy.
8. Must have, or be able to attain, a National Mortgage Licensing System registration (NMLS#) and be licensed, or be able to attain licensure, to sell credit insurance.
9. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to the position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Build strong relationships with local businesses, professionals, and community organizations to support long-term market growth.
2. Lead targeted initiatives to grow deposits, loans and merchant services based on member needs.
3. Promote a relationship-focused sales approach that supports growth, profitability, and member trust.
4. Oversee branch staffing including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
5. Lead, coach, and develop branch teams to achieve goals and provide exceptional service.
6. Oversee branch operations including budgeting, cash control, and transaction accuracy.
7. Maintain a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness.
8. Stay informed on local economic trends and competitive activity to shape market strategy.
9. Represent the credit union at community events to enhance visibility and strengthen partnerships.
10. Collaborate with internal teams - including LIC, mortgage, business services, and marketing - to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.
11. Serve as a visible community leader who reinforces Landmark's commitment to supporting local communities and financial well-being.
12. Attend required training at headquarters or an on-site location.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
