The Role

Educe is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Human Resources Manager to help manage and improve the firm's talent programs across the full employee lifecycle. The HR Manager will oversee an HR Generalist, partner with firm leadership, and lead efforts across performance management, recruiting, learning and development, benefits, employee relations, operations, and compliance.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in a dynamic, collaborative, and people-centric environment and enjoys building structure, improving processes, and helping managers and employees thrive in a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

Performance Management & Employee Relations

  • Lead our performance review cycles, including goal setting, quarterly check-ins, calibrations, and year-end evaluations ensuring processes are executed consistently and efficiently across the organization.
  • Continuously improve performance practices to keep them modern, fair, effective, and engaging.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers. Serve as a resource for navigating sensitive or challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Manage and develop an HR Generalist, delegating tasks and supporting growth.

Learning & Development

  • Partner with firm leaders and SMEs on training initiatives and career development programs.
  • Oversee the LMS and compliance training programs, remaining hands-on for configuration, reporting, and improvements.
  • Support career development by clarifying expectations, resources, and development opportunities within the firm.
  • Use insights and data to identify development needs and opportunities.

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Partner with firm leaders and hiring managers to coordinate hiring needs and manage the recruiting process from role definition through selection and offer.
  • Work with the HR Generalist to organize and manage annual college career fairs and campus recruiting events
  • Support employee onboarding, including New Hire Bootcamp.

Benefits & Compliance

  • Partner with the HR Director plus our benefits broker and vendors to manage plan design, renewals, and benefits compliance.
  • Support 401(k) plan administration, compliance testing, and annual audit.
  • Ensure policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, while reflecting who we are as a firm.
  • Support audits, filings, and required reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
    or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with exposure to
    employee relations and performance management.
  • Experience working with HR technology platforms (ADP
    WorkforceNow and Cornerstone OnDemand experience a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and
    compliance requirements.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with employees,
    managers, and firm leaders.
  • Skilled at navigating complex or sensitive conversations with
    professionalism and empathy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint,
    Excel, Teams).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer-service
    mindset.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in remote and hybrid
    environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a small organization and wearing many
    hats.
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or technology
    environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-state employment compliance.
  • Interest in or experience with AI-assisted HR processes.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification a plus.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel to semi-annual firm meetings and occasional
    events such as career fairs and new hire onboarding events.
  • Ability to commute 2-3 days a week to our Bethesda, MD
    headquarters.

The salary range
for this position is $95,000-$115,000, plus bonus eligibility. Educe also
offers 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time
employees and their dependents.

This is a hybrid
position based 2-3 days a week in our Bethesda, MD headquarters.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods
