Location:

This positionwill be hybrid remote. Candidates willbe requiredto work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will belocatednear Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA).

Primary ResponsibilitiesCould Include:

AstheData Transport Manager,you will have deepexperiencewithsoftwaredata transport servicesand will lead a group of engineersto support this capability. This role is essential to ensuringdata transport servicesacross hybrid and multi-cloud environments.You'llwork closely withsoftware developers,cloud engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and program leadership to drive continuous improvement and deliver value to the mission.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead a team ofengineers to fulfill thesoftwaredata transportrequirementsin support of data exchanges across the tenant application in a large-scale cloud hosting environment.

  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot and debug the software data transport system

  • Analyze software requirements and ensure that the software data transport system is fulfilling the mission

  • Evaluate tools and products to improve the software data transport system

  • Maintain the infrastructure and platforms necessary for the software data transport system

  • Maintain,develop, andoperateinterfaces fortenantapplicationswithinthehighly availableData Transport serviceforDISA STRATUS environments

  • Trouble-shoot,analyze, andoptimizethedataflowthrough the Data Transport Services

  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks including DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, and RMF

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and application teams to support secure mission delivery

  • Maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures

  • Promote continuous improvement through feedback loops and process refinement

  • Ensure alignment with mission priorities and Leidos delivery standards

  • Design message flowsfor any newrequired servicesusing the EAI/ESB

  • Develop and deploy integration services, routes, and orchestration logic

  • Support deployments, patches, and platform upgrades

  • Enforce integration standards and naming conventions

  • Support audit and compliance requirements through logging and traceability



Technical Leadership


  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

  • Present architectural designs and recommendations to executive leadership

  • Mentor,guideand supervise teamsfordata transportrelated activities

  • Lead reviews and provide guidance on complex technical decisions

  • Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes

  • Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering a learning environment

  • Act as theData Transportmanager to assess employee performance, hire new employees, and ensure compliance with corporate training requirements



Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelors and12+ years of experience; Masters and10+ years of experience.Additionalexperience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Interim Secret clearancerequiredto start; Ability to obtain Secret clearancerequiredtomaintainemployment

  • US citizenshiprequired

  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2)

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

  • Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Experience working with technical teams in cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT environments

  • Familiarity withtools such asHarbor, Jenkins, Rancherto support data transport implementations



Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1

  • 4+ years of prior experience managing/leading teams/projects

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and DoD cloud security requirements

  • Scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles

  • Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle clouds

  • Example certificationsinclude:Industry Professional certification Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified AWSSysAdmin, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, AWS Certified Security, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect
