Premier Neonatology Team Near Kansas City



Responsibilities

Join a wellestablished team serving Stormont Vail Healthcare and St. Francis in Topeka, Kansas. This is an opportunity to practice highquality, evidencebased neonatology in a setting designed for both clinical excellence and worklife balance.

 

HighAcuity Practice With the Tools You Need

  • Work in a Level III, 36bed NICU equipped to deliver advanced neonatal care, including:
    • HighFrequency Ventilation — manage complex respiratory cases with confidence

    • Inhaled Nitric Oxide — support infants with pulmonary hypertension

    • Total Body Cooling — provide neuroprotective therapy for HIE

    • aEEG — enhance neurological monitoring and decisionmaking

  • Average Daily Census of 33 at Stormont
  • Help support St. Francis a Level II, 4bed NICU. Just steps away, with very low activity and primarily supportive call
  • Pediatric subspecialty support including cardiology, neurology general surgery, and endocrinology.

Manageable Schedule With Strong Infrastructure

  • Work approximately 7 shifts per month. 
  • 24-hour shifts taken in-house with work being done in-hospital, allows for schedule predictability and more time off!
  • Over 20 days off per month, without having to use PTO!
  • Senior NNP coverage at St. Francis ensures smooth operations and minimal call burden
