Summary
Redwire Space Missions has a current opportunity for a Procurement Specialist, Staff based in Denver, CO. This role supports procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services across engineering, operations, and program teams.


Working under the direction of senior supply chain leadership, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for executing purchase orders, supporting sourcing activities, tracking supplier performance, and ensuring on-time delivery in support of program schedules. This role is well-suited for an early-career to mid-level procurement professional looking to grow within a high-mix, low-volume aerospace manufacturing environment.


The Procurement Specialist, Staff will be responsible for their assigned activities in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics. You will be responsible for requesting quotes, negotiating favorable prices and terms and conducts follow up actions through delivery in support of the procurement of materials, equipment, and services as required for projects across all company functions. You will manage vendor, supplier and subcontractor relationships and ensure that required goods and services are procured within budget and at the best price and terms to support project schedules and delivery targets. You will utilize new and existing suppliers in support of the company's operations, and manage quality, cost, and on-time delivery of goods and services of our selected supply base. The ideal candidate brings a thorough working knowledge of procurement in a high mix / low volume high tech manufacturing environment, with the proven ability to adapt to changing priorities.


Responsibilities


  • Support sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier comparisons, and basic price analysis under the guidance of senior procurement staff
  • Issue purchase orders and subcontracts for approved purchase requisitions in accordance with established policies and authority limits
  • Review requisitions and purchase documents for accuracy, pricing, delivery requirements, and compliance
  • Track and manage supplier deliveries, proactively following up on schedule changes or risks to program timelines
  • Coordinate with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams to support material planning and execution
  • Maintain supplier records, pricing, and delivery data within ERP systems
  • Support the proper flow-down of quality, technical, and contractual requirements to suppliers
  • Assist with supplier performance tracking related to cost, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Support resolution of invoice discrepancies, returns, cancellations, and other supplier issues
  • Participate in supplier communications and reviews as appropriate
  • Perform other procurement-related duties as required


Ideal Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field is desirable.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or related roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills, purchasing practices and ethics and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Basic understanding of purchasing practices, ethics, and supplier coordination
  • Experience working in ERP/MRP systems; Costpoint experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and establish structure in dynamic and evolving environments.
  • US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations



Salary Range $71,000 - $90,000/year
