Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Logistics Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support people and operations with clear communication and customer service. You will represent Allied Universal by acting with integrity, staying agile and reliable during changing activity levels, and working through teamwork in a caring, people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, fire alarms, and operational disruptions, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, dock doors, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and control entry by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Screen vehicles entering and leaving the location as required, including checking appointments, seals, trailer numbers, and bill of lading information as directed by site procedures.
  • Observe and report conditions affecting operations, such as unsecured doors, broken fencing, poor lighting, and unauthorized persons, and route issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Use CCTV and other site systems to monitor assigned areas, dispatch patrols as needed, and document observations consistent with post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and daily activity reports, including accurate times, locations, actions taken, and notifications made.
  • Assist with traffic flow in high-volume shipping and receiving areas, including directing trucks to staging areas and helping reduce congestion at gates and dock lanes.
  • Support special requests and security-related tasks as assigned, such as key control, escorting authorized visitors, and maintaining chain-of-custody documentation for found property.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
