As a Security Officer - Corporate Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a professional environment with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach. This is a driving post, so you will also operate a vehicle as needed while delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to staff, patients, vendors and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access to healthcare and research areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials and directing guests to approved destinations per site policy.
- Monitor alarms, cameras and other security-related systems; document observations and communicate unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, spills, alarms and after-hours requests.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, parking areas and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance concerns.
- Support laboratory and controlled-area protocols by checking authorization for restricted doors, assisting with secure deliveries and coordinating escorts when required.
- Receive, log and coordinate deliveries, including after-hours drop-offs, while following site chain-of-custody and property control procedures.
- Complete shift reports, incident reports and activity logs with clear, accurate details; escalate issues through established notification procedures.
- Provide directions and general assistance at entry points and common areas while maintaining a professional presence.
- Participate in drills and required training; follow post orders and instructions from site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements: - - A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- - Customer service experience is preferred.
- - Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
