DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform a wide range of custodial duties involving cleaning functions and the proper use of custodial supplies and equipment. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, lobbies, hallways, and restrooms, such as sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, and related fixtures. You will collect and dispose of waste and trash in designated containers or dumpsters, as well as sort recyclable materials and place them in the appropriate receptacles. You will also maintain awareness of occupational hazards and follow established safety practices. Many assigned duties are routine and repetitive and are carried out in accordance with custodial department policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours biweekly
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform repetitive motions; reach, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, walk, climb stairs and stand on hard surfaces.
  • You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
