Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering organization through an exciting phase of growth and innovation. This role will drive strategic initiatives in public cloud adoption, Healthcare solutions, DevOps transformation, and AI-driven development. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills and thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed healthcare technology setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with Netsmart's business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead migration and optimization of platforms in public cloud environments; champion DevOps best practices for scalability and reliability.

  • Integrate AI-driven development approaches into product roadmaps to enhance performance and user experience.

  • Oversee development of medication-related projects and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.

  • Manage distributed teams, including our new Global Capability Center (GCC) in India, ensuring seamless communication and delivery.

  • Operate effectively in a matrix organization, partnering with Product, Operations, and Client Success teams.

  • Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in software engineering leadership roles, with at least 3 years at VP or senior director level.

  • Proven success in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices.

  • Experience in healthcare technology strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience leading teams across geographies, including India.

  • Exposure to AI/ML development or integration into software products is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional ability to lead in a fast-paced, matrixed environment; strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent relevant experience
