About the Role

MWH is currently seeking a qualified Project Engineer (Quality Control) to support critical water treatment plant (WTP) construction projects in the Gresham, OR.

Position Summary

The Project Engineer (QC) supports the Quality Control program on public agency infrastructure projects by assisting with inspection coordination, documentation, and compliance with contract requirements. This role works closely with field teams, quality staff, and Owner representatives to ensure construction activities meet approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Support implementation of the project Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Assist with inspection coordination, testing activities, and documentation for construction operations.
  • Review and track inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance documentation.
  • Assist with maintaining quality records, logs, and documentation required by the Owner.
  • Coordinate with field crews, superintendents, and subcontractors to address quality issues.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of as-built documentation and field records.
  • Assist with quality-related reporting and tracking of corrective actions.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Approximately 3 years of experience in heavy civil or public works construction.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Working knowledge of quality control processes and documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with field teams, inspectors, and management.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience on municipal water, wastewater, or pipeline projects.
  • Familiarity with testing, inspection, and documentation for water infrastructure.
  • Experience working under public agency contract requirements.


Compensation



  • Anticipated yearly salary for this position is budged at $90,000 - $110,000.
