Continuing Support Engineer

This role supports ongoing operation of the vehicle fleet by monitoring system health, triaging issues, and driving root-cause investigations. The focus is on fleet data analysis, failure trending, and supporting deployment of fixes and mitigations to improve long-term reliability.

Scope:

* Create and maintain tooling and dashboards to monitor fleet status and performance, including failure rates of critical systems such as propulsion, brakes, steering, and low voltage.
* Monitor fleet data to identify trends, emerging issues, and areas for improvement.
* Support and drive triage of incoming fleet failures.
* Lead root-cause investigations to identify underlying issues and define next steps.
* Work with vehicle teams and component suppliers to develop improvement options.
* Support development and deployment of hardware or software fixes and mitigations.
* Monitor effectiveness of deployed fixes and iterate as needed.

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or similar), or equivalent practical experience in a technical support or engineering environment.
* Experience with data analysis and visualization, including creating plots or dashboards from log data using tools such as Python (pandas/matplotlib), Tableau, or Jira dashboards.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in failure triage and root-cause investigations.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documenting technical findings in tickets and reports.

Pluses:

* Hands-on experience with vehicle ECUs (e.g., braking, steering, thermal, low voltage, batteries, gateways) or other complex electromechanical systems.
* Experience building custom tooling or dashboards using Python, SQL, or similar technologies to visualize fleet health.
* Familiarity with deployment processes for software or hardware fixes in production environments.

Estimated Min Rate: $30.00
Estimated Max Rate: $40.00
