Yoh Life Sciences
is hiring for an Assay Development Scientist
for our biopharmaceutical customer in San Diego, CA. The position requires significant bioassay experience within analytical assay development, optimization and execution. Hands on experience with ELISA execution is a must, and experience with cell culture is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performing multiple tasks within the AMD group in support of non-GMP and GMP large-molecule manufacturing activities. Focus areas include execution of analytical method pre-qualification, routine analytical testing, method and report drafting, and documentation/data review of AMD generated results.
  • Executing ELISA lmmunoassays (binding and impurity measurement), cell-based assays and other analytical protein characterization methods.
  • Review and interpret complex data and perform statistical analyses by using appropriate software (e.g., JMP etc).
  • Performing method pre-qualification and support qualification/validation. Reviewing analytical test methods/qualification protocols, development and pre-qualification reports and participating method transfer to the Quality Control laboratory.
  • Acting as an effective team player achieving corporate objectives through active participation in project teams and initiation and maintenance of effective interactions with clients and Abzena sites. Ability to participate effectively as a team player in all aspects of Abzena business.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of laboratory and instrumentation. Ordering reagents to support sample testing.



Qualifications/ Skills Required:
  • B.S. degree with minimum 2-5 years, M.S. with minimum 2 years of relative industrial experience.
  • Experience with the use of analytical techniques/ instruments, such as ELISA and cell-based assays etc.
  • Hands on experience in ELISA method execution, development/optimization. Experience with assay qualification and validation of analytical methods in areas of bioassays is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in GDocP, GLP, cGMP, ICH guidelines, USP and EP compendia! methods.
  • Ability to work well under pressure on multiple tasks, organize and communicate complex project information.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently, collaboratively and manage one's time.
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft office suite and SharePoint. Familiarity with scientific software such as SoftmaxPro and Octet, and performing statistical analysis using DoE, JMP.



Estimated Min Rate: $31.50
Estimated Max Rate: $45.00
