Medical Laboratory Scientist II

Well Span Good Samaritan Hospitalseeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II. Will perform routine and specialized testing of body fluids with supervision as appropriate. Inoculate, cultivate, classify, and identify microorganisms found in bodily fluids, exudates, skin scrapings, autopsy, and surgical specimens to provide data on cause, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases. Record data from medical tests, prepare analyses and reports based on data, and enter results into patient medical records. Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments and equipment. Consult with medical staff and other health care providers on matters relating to laboratory services. Will work evening shift (11PM-7AM) Applicant must have a bachelors degree in medical technology or related science. Must have MLS (ASCP) or AMT certification in Medical Technology field, including MLS, IMLS, H, or M certifications. Must have 24-months experience working as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
