As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visibly present to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service. What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, fire alarms, unauthorized access attempts, and disruptive behavior.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, office areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor and vendor entry using site procedures, including sign-in processes, badge checks, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
- Perform routine checks of doors, gates, and common areas, reporting unsecured openings, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Observe and report alarms, panel alerts, and/or camera activity when assigned, and communicate findings promptly to on-site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
- Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal standards.
- Use two-way radios, phones, and/or computer systems to coordinate responses, escalate concerns, and maintain clear communication with on-site personnel.
- Support emergency and non-emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and traffic control during deliveries and special events, as directed by site policy.
- Maintain a professional presence and appearance while providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with customer service needs throughout the shift.
Minimum Requirements: - Have 1+ years of security experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Guard Card and/or license preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
